EDUCATION

sharing skills to help the community grow

At Grounded, we’re committed to providing people in our community with the skills and resources they need to grow their own food.

Whether it’s growing greens on a windowsill, creating and cultivating a vegetable patch, or learning how to install an irrigation system, we’re here to help, with a programme of workshops and experts on-hand to offer advice. Education sessions typically take place at our Secret Garden in Boscombe, and we aim to arm people with the knowledge they need to then grow at home, with the ultimate ambition of helping our community to become self-sufficient.

Our education programme doesn’t just cover food-growing skills, however – we also run a range of exciting events for people who want to enjoy a lifestyle in harmony with nature, from outdoor play sessions to hedgehog care and bee-keeping. Find out what’s coming up in the events link below.

Grounded Gardens

Our Secret Garden in the heart of Boscombe is a hub for learning.

Nestled behind St Clements Church, the stunning Victorian walled garden serves as an educational and demonstration area, and is the venue for a host of exciting workshops and events.

Grounded Growers

We love people to come to our garden spaces to learn – but what better place to develop your food-growing skills than in your own back garden, on your balcony or windowsill?

That’s why we encourage people to sign up to our network of home growers.
